Hello, just ordered the mini kvm and look forward to receiving it. One use case will be for work, where I need to connect to a PC 20ft in the air. Currently, the expectation is to balance a monitor, keyboard, and mouse on the 20ft ladder to make changes. I’ll gladly pay $100 for my own safety here and work from the ground.
This brought up the question of how long can my host connection cable be? Ideally I can place the kvm, cables, adapters up in the cabinet and run a ~ 20 ft usb C cable to the host on the ground. Looking up specifications on usb seems that 3m is the limit but it may work with degraded signal on longer cables. The FAQ on the webpage says 1.5m on each side, which seems to match specs.
So has anyone tested this, or used a long cable?
Thanks in advance!
