Got an interesting one for you.
I’ve got two Android devices here, a Samsung S24 Ultra, and an Amazon Fire HD Plus (11th gen)
I’m using the Fire tablet as the host device, to get the display output from the S24 Ultra (the target device), however, the screen on the Fire tablet is completely blank and displays nothing, even though it recognizes the openterface device and can (supposedly) connect to it.
I’ve got a thunderbolt3/usb-c hub connected to my S24 Ultra, and am using the HDMI port on this hub to connect to the HDMI port of the target side of the openterface. I haven’t tried the keyboard/mouse connectivity aspect yet, because I’m trying to troubleshoot the display issues first.
What makes this interesting is that even though the screen is completely blank on the openterface app, and is showing nothing - using a different UVC camera app, like nExt Camera, displays the video from openterface perfectly, and I’m able to see what’s on the S24 Ultra’s screen on the Fire tablet.
I thought this was interesting and wanted to report this because a different UVC camera app shows this without an issue, but the openterface’s app seems to have trouble displaying this screen.

Using a windows PC as the host with the latest openterface windows app works fine BTW.
Makes me think there might be something up with the Android app? I didn’t have to sideload the app if that’s what you were wondering - installed it straight from the play store. The “About Openterface Device” page on the Fire tablet shows that the Android Version is 9, and Openterface Version is 1.1.0
