Mini-kvm : impossible to change baudrate from 9600 to 115200

i try to change the baudrate from 9600 to 115200 with the openterfactQt tool 0.5.30.238 on ubuntu.

I followi the instruction to disconnect then reconnect to power off then reload the new setting from eeprom.

But it doesn’t really change the baud rate which stay to 9600 bauds.

I see those commit seems to tell there’s an issue to change the baudrate :

How can i finally change the baudrate to 115200 as offered in the application ?

copy paste of text, and even moving the mouse is laggy

Thanks for reporting this, Olivier. I did some testing and can confirm the issue is happening on MiniKVM. I believe we broke some of the baudrate-setting logic while adding support for KVM-Go.

We’ll fix this as a high priority.

Regarding the default baudrate: we changed it from 115200 to 9600 because we found 9600 to be more stable across a wider range of host/target machines. In particular, 115200 can sometimes cause instability on lower-end systems such as Raspberry Pi.

That said, changing to 115200 can improve mouse performance and responsiveness, so we definitely want to keep this option available.

Please wait for the next release. I’ll update this thread once we have fixed the issue.

Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for catching this!
