Azerty, qwertz or qwerty check

Hello,

Keyboards, also KeyMod, do sent scan codes. to computer. I did remember that after reading:

Here comes an idea for KeyCmd:
Some submenu, probably named lay-out probe.
In the menu two buttons:
One button triggers sending scan codes for N readable characters.
The other button triggers sending N times the scan code for backspace.
(Yes, I assume that backspace scan code is the same for all keyboard lay-outs.)

Purpose of lay-out probe is having a check, a probe, to find out (to get an idea of) what keyboard layout the target is expecting.

P.S.
I’m fully aware that “not a QWERTY keyboard” is hard to imaging for those who only know “QWERTY keyboards”.

Thanks for the thoughtful suggestion  .We’re planning to move forward with an initial version of the keyboard layout probe.

Before we start, could you let us know whether you use KeyCmd on Android or iPhone? We’ll prioritize that platform for the first implementation.

Once a test version is ready, would you be willing to help us test it with your keyboard layout and share the results? Your feedback would be very helpful in verifying the behavior across QWERTY, AZERTY, and QWERTZ layouts.

I’m waiting for source of the Android version.

(That I, hobby programmer, are worried about the Android ecosystem, will I raise in a fresh topic.)

We’ll prioritize Android for the initial implementation of the keyboard layout probe. Once a test build is ready, we’d be happy to invite you to test it and share your feedback.
