I couldn’t get the device into bootloader mode to flash that hex firmware. Pressing that button didn’t do anything and the WCH flash option didn’t recognise it, but I’m not sure if I even needed to do that

As mentioned, the keyboard and mouse work good. There was a minor bug in the environment check: if the detected chip is a CH32V208, no driver installation is actually required. You can now use the device without any issues. Enjoy your mini-KVM
